INDIA CHRISTIAN MISSION CENTER (ICMC):  ICMC Update

Oct Monthly Update from ICMC by Mrs J. Christy, ICMC Secretary

For I am with you to protect you, says the Lord."  Jeremiah 1:19

We are so thankful to the Lord, for His grace was sufficient for
us throughout this month.

  • On the very first day of this month Miss Melissa from Mexico left Salem after her two week’s stay at ICMC. Her visit was a fruitful one to our children.

  • On the 3rd of October all the schools were reopened after quarterly holidays. Quarterly exam results were published. Most of our children did fairly well in their exams. S.Senthilkumar (who got first at our St. Basil Matriculation School) gets first rank in his 11th grade in another external school too. Really we are proud of him.

  • The passport of Dr. Jay was released from the court by His grace on 4.10.’07. We were so thankful to the Lord and to those who prayed for us regarding the same.

  • The 6th death anniversary of Miss.Grace Lilian Robshaw was observed on 5.10.’07 at the Promised Land along with the Teacher Training Institute students and staff. We thanked the Lord for her good deeds which are useful to others even after her death and pledged to follow her flawless foot prints. On the very same day we had the Farewell Service for the I Batch students of St.Grace Lilian Teacher Training Institute. All the students were blessed by this farewell service.

  • On 12.10.’07 Mr. & Mrs. Mark and Miriam Thuts along with their two children (Noel and Emily 2 year old) from Switzerland visited the House of Peace and returned to Switzerland on 20.10.2007. They were much impressed by the love of our children. Their visit was a blessed one to us.

  • Some high school students went for an evangelistic tour from 19 to 21.10.’07 conducted by Indian Evangelical Mission at Salem. It provided a good experience to our children. They learnt many new English songs and choruses. All were blessed by this tour.

  • All our Salem children got an opportunity to attend a one day children’s retreat at St. Basil School conducted by Timothy team from Chennai on 13.10.’07. New songs and choruses were taught; children enjoyed the puppet show and the missionary stories.

  • On 15.10.’07 St. Basil College of Education for Women was inaugurated with 25 students. The students and teachers were blessed richly.

  • In the Timothy School a new Principal, by name Jordan Kannan has been appointed and this school is going on well by His grace. On the 24th a special meal was provided for all the children as it was Neva’s birthday.

  • Miss.V.Eswari (one of the senior girls at Salem Centre) who finished her B.Sc Degree in Chemistry got married to a good man on 29.10.’07. Some of our staff members and Miss.Neva attended the marriage.  In all the village churches Sunday worship service and other prayer meetings were held for His glory. Building maintenance work as well as painting work is going on at the Promised Land.

We are so grateful to all our sponsors and donors and prayer warriors for their generous help
to our Mission without which nothing could be achieved.

Yours in His service,

Mrs. J. Christy

Secretary, ICMC
