On the very
first day of
this month
Miss Melissa
from Mexico
left Salem
after her
two week’s
stay at ICMC.
Her visit
was a
fruitful one
to our
children.

On the 3rd
of October
all the
schools were
reopened
after
quarterly
holidays.
Quarterly
exam results
were
published.
Most of our
children did
fairly well
in their
exams.
S.Senthilkumar
(who got
first at our
St. Basil
Matriculation
School) gets
first rank
in his 11th
grade in
another
external
school too.
Really we
are proud of
him.

The passport
of Dr. Jay
was released
from the
court by His
grace on
4.10.’07. We
were so
thankful to
the Lord and
to those who
prayed for
us regarding
the same.

The 6th
death
anniversary
of
Miss.Grace
Lilian
Robshaw was
observed on
5.10.’07 at
the Promised
Land along
with the
Teacher
Training
Institute
students and
staff. We
thanked the
Lord for her
good deeds
which are
useful to
others even
after her
death and
pledged to
follow her
flawless
foot prints.
On the very
same day we
had the
Farewell
Service for
the I Batch
students of
St.Grace
Lilian
Teacher
Training
Institute.
All the
students
were blessed
by this
farewell
service.

On 12.10.’07
Mr. & Mrs.
Mark and
Miriam Thuts
along with
their two
children
(Noel and
Emily 2 year
old) from
Switzerland
visited the
House of
Peace and
returned to
Switzerland
on
20.10.2007.
They were
much
impressed by
the love of
our
children.
Their visit
was a
blessed one
to us.

Some high
school
students
went for an
evangelistic
tour from 19
to 21.10.’07
conducted by
Indian
Evangelical
Mission at
Salem. It
provided a
good
experience
to our
children.
They learnt
many new
English
songs and
choruses.
All were
blessed by
this tour.

All our
Salem
children got
an
opportunity
to attend a
one day
children’s
retreat at
St. Basil
School
conducted by
Timothy team
from Chennai
on
13.10.’07.
New songs
and choruses
were taught;
children
enjoyed the
puppet show
and the
missionary
stories.

On 15.10.’07
St. Basil
College of
Education
for Women
was
inaugurated
with 25
students.
The students
and teachers
were blessed
richly.

In
the Timothy
School a new
Principal,
by name
Jordan Kannan has
been
appointed
and this
school is
going on
well by His
grace. On
the 24th
a special
meal was
provided for
all the
children as
it was
Neva’s
birthday.

Miss.V.Eswari
(one of the
senior girls
at Salem
Centre) who
finished her
B.Sc Degree
in Chemistry
got married
to a good
man on
29.10.’07.
Some of our
staff
members and
Miss.Neva
attended the
marriage.
In all the
village
churches
Sunday
worship
service and
other prayer
meetings
were held
for His
glory.
Building
maintenance
work as well
as painting
work is
going on at
the Promised
Land.
